Always trying to add more fun to our Nauti Nomad program, it was now time for our Pirate Swap. Rules are simple, buy a useful cruise gift at the value of $10 - you would think that would be the easiest to abide by, but no once again we had those who decided that they were special, and that the $3 gift from the boutique was enough. You place your gift on the table, we give you a raffle ticket.
We had a wonderful turnout and there were well and truly over 100 gifts onthe table. Princess also helped out with tables, extra folding chairs and a
microphone.
First ticket is drawn, prize was picked and opened. Second ticket was picked, winner asked to steal or choose. and this continues until all gifts have been distributed. Now what makes this game fun is the stealing. As coordinator you hope that there are one or two items that tickle peoples' fancy and encourage a whole lot of pirating.
had a small cube clock which the recipients face showed a little disappointment when opened. Well that little clock showed not just time, but date, temperature and I know there was a 4th thing, was stolen several
times throughout the morning.
Now getting back to the cans of Prosecco, I instructed Garry that I would really like those plastic champagne glasses for drinks out at deck 11 and lo and behold with only a few gifts left, I was sure we had it in the bag. Now a little background story, today was our friends Marie's birthday and at one
stage she was in possession of the Prosecco bag. Her little heart was set on that block of Hazelnut Chocolate. So, once it was stolen from her, she sat there with the saddest face. Now I want you to know that if we had won, we had every intention of giving Marie the chocolate. Ok back to the original
story, the next number to come out was our dear friend Mary. Well I knew we were safe with this one as Mary has the kindest heart and she has said she would never steal at swap as it is not in her nature. Well you could have picked me up on the floor, with the guiltiest of grins she sheepishly walked and stole the bag from Garry.
Thankyou Nauti Nomads for making it easy to make it fun!!
Step Count : 130,122 .. 30,000 in front already. and we haven't hit a
