We explored the wonderfully kept buildings, a real tribute to the current
owners who are keeping the dream alive.
The Fitzalan Chapel that serves as the burial place of the Dukes of Norfolk
and their families. It is actually part of the larger church which is
accessible to public from the other side of the castle walls.
We weaved our way through the castle as if walking through time, starting
with bare stone rooms of the original keep to the richly decorated rooms
that have evolved over the centuries. Beautifully carved furniture,
exquisite tapestries and painting by renowned artists are all on display.
Bedrooms, lounge rooms and dining rooms, inviting you to enter and enjoy.
We would have to say this was one of best castles that we have ever visited.
