Another stop on this trip was to the Solheimajokull Glacier which is part of
the Myrdalsjokull Ice-cap. Twenty years ago, you could stop in the carpark
and walk straight over to the Glacier. Today it is a 30-minute walk to
reach its base. A small lake sits in front of the glacier filled with
floating bergy bits that have broken away. Once again as Murphy's law would
have it, get out of the bus and the rain will fall, and probably the
heaviest out of the whole day. Grrrr/Brrrrr
